Lavina E. Grosshans, 86, Fairbury died at 11:32 am Monday, July 20, 2015 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
A private funeral service will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 with ministers of the German Apostolic Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in East Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. Grosshans was born July 23, 1928 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Herman and Evodia Steidinger Bahler. She married Robert F. Grosshans on June 5, 1955 in Fairbury, IL. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1996.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Caroline Grosshans, Fairbury, Mary (Michael) Young, Cissna Park, IL, Elizabeth (Fredric) Mueller, Salem, OR, Katherine Grosshans, Fairbury, 1 son, Dan (Marcie) Grosshans, Fairbury, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Wilma Gudeman, Cissna Park, Alma Bahler, Verna Bahler, both of Peoria, 1 brother, Harvey (Elizabeth) Bahler, Fairbury.
She is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Barbara, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mrs. Grosshans was a member of the German Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
