Obituary
Leola M. "Lee" Kratz, 76, of Chenoa formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away at 11:05 am, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at her residence in Chenoa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Burial will follow in Chenoa Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11am to 12:45pm prior to services on Tuesday also at the funeral home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Leola M. Kratz.
Lee was born September 21, 1938 in Oskaloosa, IA; the daughter of Raymond and Vera (Silvers) Thompson. Her parents preceded her in death. She married John E. Kratz on September 20, 1958 in East Moline, IL. Her husband preceded her in death on July 8, 2013.
Survivors include two sons, Randy (Debbie) Kratz of Normal and Jason (Neysa Teague) Kratz of Moline, IL; one daughter, Ronda (Dean Spiker) Kratz of Colona, IL; grandchildren, Rachael (Shawn) Hernandez, Christopher (Krystal) Kratz, Kimberly (Erik) Davis, Jon (Patty) Werner, and Logan Kratz and six great grandchildren.
Lee was a 1956 graduate of United Twp. High School in East Moline, IL and worked as an O.B. Unit Technician at Illini Hospital in Silvis, IL. She was an outgoing woman who had a zest for life, never missing an opportunity to send a card letting you know she cared or was thinking of you.
