Obituary
Leona Emma Leman, 90, Fairbury, died at 6:15 am Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Twp. Cemetery, Forrest.
Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Monday at the church. The family suggest memorials be given to the Fairview Haven Good Samaritan Fund, Fairbury.
Mrs. Leman was born September 24, 1923 in Forrest, IL the daughter of Daniel and Carrie Rieger Roth. She married Harvey B. Leman on October 6, 1946 in Fairbury, IL. He died on November 14, 1985.
Survivors include her children, Diana (Bill) Ducett, Bloomington, IL, Darl (Laura) Leman, Elmhurst, IL, Rita (Marv) Wenger, Fairbury, IL, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers, Leonard Roth, Forrest, IL and Marvin (Dorothy) Roth, LaSalle, IL.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Huette, five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Leman was a member of the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church and the Forrest American Legion Auxiliary. She worked as a cook at the Strawn Grade School and Fairview Haven for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and doing for others especially her family.
