Obituary
Lester E. Forrer, 87, of Fairbury died at 4:50 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Mr. Forrer was born April 9, 1920 in Waterman, IL the son of Christian F. and Cora Minick Forrer. He married Virginia Picket on September 7, 1939 in Leland, IL. She survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving is a step granddaughter, Jenni Annand, Nantucket, MA.
He is preceded in death by one son, two brothers, and two sisters.
Mr. Forrer was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fairbury, the I.O.O.F. Lodge, #290, Fairbury and was a past member of the Lions Club. He had been employed for twenty five years at CTS Knights and later Radio Crystal, both in Fairbury retiring on January 1, 1986.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with an I.O.O.F. memorial service following at 7:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at Fairview Memorial Park, DeKalb at a later date.
The family suggests memorials be directed to the First United Methodist Church, Fairbury or to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
