Chenoa — Lester M. Ryan Jr., 75, of Chenoa died at 7:48a.m. Thursday (August 3, 2023) at his residence in Chenoa.

Cremation rites have been accorded, per Lester's request there will be no public service at this time. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa will be handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation or Disabled American Veterans.

Lester was born September 23, 1947, in Wichita, KS; a son to Lester M. and Lorene O. (Gouchenour) Ryan Sr.  He married Bedelia "Bea" Lair on October 26, 1968 in Normal.  His wife, Bea survives in Chenoa.

Other survivors include two sons; Samson (Amy) Ryan of North Carolina; Marshall (Marti) Ryan of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Timothy Ryan of St. Louis, MO; Holly Ryan of North Carolina; Devin Ryan of Bloomington; one brother, Melvin (Jacqui) Ryan of Surprise, AZ.; two sisters, Shirley Ryan and Opal Love, both of Bloomington.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Chester Ryan and one sister, Beverly Ann Jenkins.

Lester was employed for over 30 years at Caterpillar Inc., Pontiac.  He co-owned and operated Ryan's Computer Services for many years with his wife, Bea.
