Levi L. Edelman, 78, Forrest died at 9:22 am, Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall, Fairbury; and 9:00 to 9:45am Thursday prior to services at the church.
Mr. Edelman was born September 24, 1936 in Sabetha, Kansas, a son of Levi and Lena Lehman Edelman Sr. He married Donna Mueller on April 2, 1960 in Pontiac. She survives in Forrest.
Also surviving are his children: Kenneth (Carol) of Sibley; Keith (Nadine) of Congerville; Kevin (Lisa) of Strawn; Kirk (Myra) of Fairbury; Karl (Bethany) of Forrest; Kent (Bethany) of Fairbury; Kerwin (Sara) of Athens, AL; Janice (Chad) Wettstein of Beloit, WI; Kyle (Monica) of Gridley; Kraig (Carrie) of Fairbury; 3 brothers, Robert (Mary) and Walter (Rosetta) Edelman, both of Fairbury, Albert (Mara Jean) Edelman of Lebo, Kansas; 5 sisters, Mary Ann Bolliger of Silverton, OR; Kathryn (Glenn) Fehr of Fairbury; Alice (Harvey) Stork of Chenoa; and Ella Marie and Rosalie Edelman, both of Scottsdale, AZ.; 42 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
Levi was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest. He was a lifetime Farmer in the Fairbury area. He loved his Lord and Savior and his family, who will miss him deeply.
