Lewis Raymond Estes, 87, a lifetime resident of Chenoa passed away at 11:15 pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

His funeral will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Charles France officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday also at the funeral home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be directed to Chenoa Presbyterian Church.

Lewis was born November 20, 1927 in Chenoa the son of Fred and Rose (Wilder) Estes. He was married to Esther Marie Huff for 64 wonderful years. They were married on August 13, 1949 in Chicago. She passed away on March 7, 2014.

Survivors include one daughter, Melissa (Michael) Hollinshead of Springfield; one son, Dennis (Sue) Estes of Danvers; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Mitchell) Motley of Seattle, WA, Bailey, Dugan, and Chelsea Hollinshead all of Springfield, Kelli Estes of FL; Tamira (Larry) Masching of Pontiac; and great-grandchildren, Shelby, Alexis and Raeanne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and one son, Michael Estes.

Mr. Estes was a veteran, serving our country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Chenoa Presbyterian Church. Lewis and Esther enjoyed dancing and camping for 17 years after their retirement and visited 38 states in their travels.
