Obituary
Chenoa–Lidia Cerda, 84, of Chenoa, passed away at 10:12am, January 15, 2015 at her residence.
Her funeral mass will be held at 11:30am, Monday, January 19, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa with Father Carl LoPresti officiating.
Cremation will be accorded following the mass and burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30am, Monday, January 19, 2015 also at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa.
Lidia was born April 1, 1930 in Monterey, Mexico the daughter of Adelido and Simmona Aranda.
She married Rosendo "Rosy" Cerda in Brownsville, TX in 1948. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1999 with a renewal of vows.
Surviving are five children, Jane (Tom) Cassidy, Elisa (Joe) Nemergut, Otilia (Jose) Perez Sr. all of Pontiac; Rosendo (Cecilia Weigbrecht) Cerda Jr., Eusebio Cerda both of Chenoa, two brothers, 4 sisters, sixteen grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one daughter and one son.
