Obituary
Lillian Vera Johansen, 97, Fairbury died at 4:28 pm Monday, September 22, 2008 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Colfax.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 26, 2008 at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury with the Rev. Stephanie Soon officiating. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johansen was born March 23, 1911 in Fairbury, IL, the daughter of William and Louise Demler Hallock. She married John E. Johansen on February 6, 1929 in Fairbury. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1995.
Surviving is one son, Donald (Nila) Johansen, Fairbury, one brother, Elmer Hallock, Fairbury, three step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, and nineteen step great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Lorene Munson and one brother, William Hallock.
Mrs. Johansen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Sunbeam Club, former member of the Charity Home Rebekah Lodge, and the Hospital auxiliary all of Fairbury.
The family suggests memorials be given to SELCAS or to the OSF Hospice.
