Lilly Hope Gillespie, 86, Fairbury, died at 12:29 am Sunday, August 18, 2019 at her residence, Fairbury.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Stephen Barr officiating.  Burial will be in Bellflower Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1:00 to 1:45 pm Wednesday also at the memorial home.  The family suggests memorials be given to Faith Baptist Church, 107 Major St., Eureka, IL 61530 or OSF Eastern Region Hospice, 211 North Landmark Dr., Suite D#, Normal, IL 61761.

Mrs. Gillespie was born January 18, 1933 in Bellflower, IL the daughter of Erma Collier.  She married James R. Gillespie in December 14, 1949 in Bellflower.  He preceded her in death on April 16, 2014.

Survivors include her children, Marilyn Gillespie, Fairbury, Ruth (David) Beck, Eureka, Robert (Patty Jo) Gillespie, Salem, West Virginia, James Mark (Lisa) Gillespie, Fairbury, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother, Albert (Irma) Siegmund, Colorado, two sisters, Truth Hetherington, Cornell, and Joyce Wilkins, Chenoa.

She is preceded in death by her mother and one brother.

Mrs. Gillespie worked as a caretaker at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury for many years.
