Anchor – Linda Lee Stewart, 73, of Anchor, passed away at 12:45pm, August 11, 2019, at her residence.

Cremation has been accorded.

Her funeral will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 16, 2019, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. Pastor Daryl Evans will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Anchor Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10-11:00am, Friday, August 16, 2019, also at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Fairbury.

Linda was born July 30, 1946, in Bucyrus, OH the daughter of Jess and Marion King Kail. She married Daniel Stewart on August 15, 2015. He survives.

Also surviving are her sons, Mark (Amy) Smock of Grand Junction, CO and Mike (Ginger) Smock of Wilmington; step-daughter, Sarah (Chris) Schultze of Edina, MN; grandchildren, Megan, Bailey, Macy, and Steven Smock; step-grandchildren, Stewart, Augustus, Alex, and Isaac Schultze; brothers, Brian (Jackie) Kail of Grand Junction, CO and Randy (Debbie) Kail of Pueblo, CO; and sister, Lori (Ron) Deltondo of Montrose, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-son, Mark Stewart.

Linda graduated from Wilmington High School class of 1964 and attended Rockford Business College. She was a tax auditor for RSM McGladrey in Rockford. She also owned and operated her own accounting office for 10 years.

Linda steered the Discount Dinner (meals for the needy) in Rockford for 10 years. She was a volunteer for Special Olympics.

She enjoyed quilting and was an avid golfer. Playing golf courses such as Pebble Beach, PGA West and many more famous courses.
