Lois Marie Chapman, 82, of Chenoa passed away at 8:05 am, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Her funeral will be 10:00am, Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Father Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm Thursday, May 19, 2011 also at the memorial home in Chenoa.
Mrs. Chapman was born March 5, 1929 in Dwight, the daughter of Frank and Marcella (Mulligan) Miller. She married Lyle "Pete" Chapman on September 27, 1947 in Pontiac. He passed away August 10, 2006.
Survivors include four sons: Patrick (Sharon) Chapman, Pontiac; Michael (Liz) Chapman, Barboursville, VA, Gary (Jackie) Chapman, Sunrise, FL and Todd (Darcy) Chapman, Knoxville, TN; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two sisters, Verna (Joe) Kelso, Odell and Linda (Bud) Guevens, East Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kathy Chapman, two sisters, Lucille Troy, Betty Born, and two brothers, Robert and Gerald Miller.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Lois was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary all of Chenoa. Later in life Lois was employed by Alexander's Advertising & Pencil Factory, Towanda. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
