Lois J. Dill, 85, Lexington, died at 10:25 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at her residence in Lexington.
A private family funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Chenoa Baptist Church with the Rev. Christian Ricker officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Cemetery. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is assisting with arrangements. The family suggests memorials be given to Central Illinois Small Animal Rescue, 29738 East 1400 North Road, Colfax, IL 61728.
Mrs. Dill was born July 13, 1927 in Pontiac, IL the daughter of Lewis and Lilly Bratt Schultz. She married Howard S. Dill on December 29, 1946 in Chenoa, IL. He died on June 2, 1997.
Surviving is one daughter, Debbie (Tim) Leake, Lexington, IL; six grandchildren, Angie (Danny) Brown, Tiffany Dill, Samantha (Doug) Van Hoveln, Danny L. (Kim) Dill Jr., Jacob Leake, Jessie Leake; and one sister, Mary Knoll, Piper City, IL.
She is preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, and one son, Danny Dill.
Mrs. Dill attended the Estelle Compton Modeling School, Chicago and professionally modeled at the Palmer House. She was a baton teacher in the Pontiac area for many years and belonged to the Civil Air Patrol; National Baton Twirling Association and had a love for animals. She spent a large part of her life being Mama Dill to numerous children.
