Colfax – Lois Grizzle, 81, of Colfax passed away at 2:34pm, August 11, 2014 at Bickford House, Bloomington.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Colfax. Fr. Carl LoPresti will be officiating.

Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00pm, Friday, August 15, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.

Memorials may be made to Wiley Cemetery Association.

Lois was born November 5, 1932 in Bloomington, the daughter of Dennis T. and Edith E. Sutton O'Brien.

She married Myron H. Grizzle on February 2, 1953 in Bloomington. He died March 4, 2000 in Normal.

Surviving are her children, Dennis (Barb) Grizzle of Burlington, IA, Mark (Kay) Grizzle of Chatsworth, Jayne Cook of Mahomet, David (Tamara) Grizzle of Lincoln, Robert (Patricia Puetz) Grizzle, and Joseph (Tina) Grizzle both of Bloomington; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters, and son-in-law, Rick Cook.

Lois graduated from Trinity High School in Bloomington. She retired as the postmaster for the Colfax Post Office.

Lois was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Colfax, secretary and treasurer for Wiley Cemetery Association, Colfax, member of the Davis-Kerber American Legion Auxiliary, Colfax, McLean County Historical Society and Home Extension Association.
