Obituary
Lois E. Schieman, 82, of Chenoa passed away at 1:31am, Monday, October 15, 2012 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa with Father Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be from 9:30 am to the time of the service also at the church in Chenoa on Wednesday.
Lois was born March 18, 1930 in Paw Paw, MI. She was raised in Chenoa by Earl and Edna (Green) Ross. She married David Schieman on June 21, 1947 in Chenoa. He survives in Chenoa.
Other survivors include three children, Trish (Michael) Peters of Fairbury; David (Loni) Schieman of Indianapolis, IN; Dale (Martina) Schieman of Plainfield; two sisters, Darlene (Tilford) Johnson of Chenoa; Brenda Bradford of Bloomington; one brother, Earl Tom (Carol) Ross of Florida; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa or Home Sweet Home Missions, Bloomington.
Lois was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Chenoa where she was on the Altar and Rosary Society and Funeral Committees. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Chenoa. She enjoyed volunteering in her community serving as Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and delivering Chenoa Peace Meals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
