Lois Ann Steidinger, 84 of Fairbury, formerly of Cropsey, passed away at 6:10 pm, Friday, April 28, 2017 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 also at the funeral home in Fairbury; with the ministers of the Christian Apostolic Church of Fairbury officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to Fairview Haven Retirement Community or Southeastern Livingston County Ambulance Service, both of Fairbury.

Miss Steidinger was born June 7, 1932 in Fairbury; the daughter of Benjamin and Naomi (Alt) Steidinger.   Her parents, one brother, Warren; one brother in-law, Vernon Edelman; and one great nephew, Andy Jon Strahm preceded her in death.

Survivors include three brothers, Arthur Steidinger of Cropsey; Ronald (Lucille) Steidinger of Fairbury; William Steidinger of Normal; two sisters, Ruth Edelman of Strawn; Louise (James)Menold of Sabetha, KS; 11 nephews, 6 nieces and 34 great nieces and nephews.

Miss Steidinger was employed at Fairbury Hospital, a homemaker, and a member of the Christian Apostolic Church of Fairbury.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Fairview Haven Retirement Community for the care given to Lois over the last 8 plus years.  A special thank you to the staff of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center and Advocate BroMenn Hospice Care for their care during her last days.
