Louise Wozniak Pick, 88, of Highland, IL; formerly of Chenoa, IL; passed away on Thursday November 24, 2016.
Louise was Born November 1, 1928 in Chicago, IL; a daughter to Cecilia Sawicki and Steven Sylvester Wozniak. She married Howard Ray Pick on February 11, 1950 in Chicago. He preceded her in death. Her parents, two brothers, Norbert and Eugene also preceded her in death.
Louise and Howard lived in Central Illinois where they raised four daughters: Nancy Ellen (Mike) Stedman, Beverley Anne (Richard) Winston, Diane Rae (Marty Tipsord) Pick, and Marguerite Mae (Brett) Leman.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Diane Stedman- Martin, Cathy Stedman, Betsy (Keith)Hawley, Emiley (Jason) Steffes, Katie Leman, Ben Leman, and 5 great grandchildren: Ainsley Martin, Gracie Steffes, Ruthie Steffes, Jack Hawley, and Sarah Hawley.
Louise was the Chenoa High School Secretary before retiring and moving to Lake Placid, FL. She decorated many wedding, graduation, anniversary and birthday cakes. She also liked to paint. After moving to Florida she began China painting serving as club president and Secretary of the Lake Placid China Painting club. She enjoyed volunteering in the nursery and rocking the babies at Desoto Memorial Hospital, Arcadia, FL. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Autism Speaks.
