Chenoa: Lucile Bachman, 91, of Chenoa, died at 4:35 pm Monday, May 21, 2007 at OSF St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, May 25, 2007 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 am, Saturday May 26, 2007 at the Meadows Mennonite Church with Rev. John Heyerly officiating the service. Burial will take place at Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa, IL.
Mrs. Bachman was born July 22, 1915, the daughter of Asa and Lizzy (Egli) Nafziger. She married Earl D. Bachman, October 18, 1936 in Minier, IL. He died October 3, 2002.
Surviving are 3 daughters: Shirley (Don) Corrie, Chenoa, Linda Joy, Garland, TX, Donna (Kevin) Wehrmeister, Allen, TX, 2 sisters; Evelyn Collins, Peoria, IL, Ina Garber, Eureka, IL, 1 brother; Orval (Jesse) Nafziger, Eureka, IL, 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter; Virginia Berg and 2 brothers Melvin and Willace Nafziger.
Mrs. Bachman was a member of the Meadows Mennonite Church, Meadows, IL. She enjoyed many years as a cook for the Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or Meadows Mennonite Home, Meadows, IL.
