Flanagan – Lucy Lee Hilliard, 81, of Flanagan, formerly of Sullivan passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Flanagan. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no public service at this time with family inurnment at a later date in Windsor, IL.

Memorial contributions can be made in Lucy's name to Moultrie County Animal Shelter, Sullivan, IL.

Lucy was born February 28, 1943 in Mattoon; the daughter of Paul and Lucy Lee (Barnhart) Herron. She married James Palumbo in Sullivan. He preceded her in death in 2018. Her parents and one brother, David Herron also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Chris Hilliard of Flanagan; one brother, John (Paula) Herron of Mattoon; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Lucy was an avid quilter in her spare time.
