Lyle J. Honegger, 82, Fairbury, passed away at 8:15 pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at Station One in Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.

Private family graveside service will be at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury with Fr. Carl LoPresti officiating.

Lyle was born May 6, 1934 in Fairbury the first son of Sam and Leah Rieger Honegger. He married Kathryn Traub on August 12, 1956. She survives along with their four children: Doug (Judy) Honegger, Arroyo Grande, Ca, Sally Honegger Stonehouse, Naperville, Sue Honegger (Larry) Joye, Leawood, KS, Dan (Tamara) Honegger, Tampa, FL, eight grandchildren: Nicholas (Elena) Abbey and Sara Honegger, Kathryn and Gavin Stonehouse, and Sam and Allison Joye, three brothers, Jerry (Nancy) Honegger, Gordon (Jean Ann) Honegger, and Sam (Judy) Honegger.

Lyle is preceded in death by his parents.
