Lyle W. Price, 92 of Chenoa, passed away at 8:45 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Funeral services will be 11am, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Burial will follow in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery; with full military honors by Chenoa VFW and American Legion posts.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, Friday, February 17, 2017 and one hour prior to his funeral service also at the funeral home in Chenoa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, in acknowledgement of the exceptional care he received.
Mr. Price was born October 17, 1924 in Farmer City, the son of Frank and Blanche (Oyler) Price. He married Anna Darlene Hamilton on September 5, 1944 in Glasgow, KY. Darlene preceded him in death December 31, 2003.
Survivors include his children, Darla (Jeff) Heath, Bloomington; David (Gwen) Price, Mahomet; one brother, Charles (Ann) Price, LeRoy; three grandchildren, Matthew (Samantha Lehmann) Binkley, Flanagan; Kyle (Crystal) Binkley, Cape Coral, FL; Annabeth Price, Mahomet; one great granddaughter, Bella Binkley, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and one infant daughter.
Lyle served our country as a 1st Sgt. In the U.S. Army and was a member of Chenoa VFW and LeRoy American Legion. Lyle was a lifelong farmer, he enjoyed being outside, gardening and mowing. He loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren, who will miss him deeply.
