Obituary
M. Eileen Baker, 97, Yanceyville, NC and formerly of Champaign died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Brian Center, Yanceyville, NC.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Ruppert Downing officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, rural Pontiac.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 pm Saturday at the memorial home. The family suggests memorials be given to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.
Mrs. Baker was born September 3, 1912 in Pontiac, IL the daughter of Charles E. and Clara Elizabeth Anderson Dunahee. She married Charles K. Baker on April 15, 1938 in Graymont, IL. He died on September 1, 2001.
Surviving is one son, Kenneth William Baker, Yanceville, NC, two daughters, Del Ericson, Freemont, WI, Carole Smith, Urbana, IL; one brother, Kenneth Dunahee, Lexington, IL, one sister, Mildred Hanshew, Gilman, IL, eighteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by five brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Mrs. Baker was an Illinois Bell telephone operator for 25 years. She also was a member of the Church of God, Champaign.
