Colfax – Margery Eyer, 87, of Colfax, passed away at 12:15pm, August 22, 2015, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral will be held at 10:00am, on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax. Pastor Connie Frase will be officiating.
Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00pm, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or charity of the donor's choice.
Margery was born May 5, 1928, in Anchor the daughter of Roy and Bertha Klintworth Hinrichsen.
She married Harold Eyer on November 22, 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor. He passed away on February 28, 2009.
Surviving are her son Mike (Rona) Eyer of Bloomington; daughter, Kay (Terry) Bose of Anchor; grandchildren Nikki (Tony) DeBaillie of Lynn Center, Tony (Erica) Eyer of Aurora, CO, Lindsay (Aaron) Reynolds of Lansing, MI, Emily Eyer of Bloomington, and Dana Bose of Anchor; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kallie and Chloe DeBaillie and Berlin Eyer; sister, Gladys (Chet) Eyer of Anchor.
Margery was a bookkeeper for Wichman Hardware in Anchor and a bank teller at Anchor State Bank. She was also a homemaker and farmed with her husband in the Anchor area.
Mrs. Eyer was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor. She also attended Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax and Resurrection Lutheran Church, Bloomington.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and baking. She also enjoyed attending sporting events and visiting daily with her many friends with the Anchor Coffee Group.
Margery resided at The Blair House, Normal from November 2014 until May 2015. She currently was a resident at Martin Health Center, Bloomington.
