Obituary
Marian L. Martin, 88, a resident of Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury and formerly Forrest died at 3:21 am Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with the Rev. David Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday and 9:00 to 9:45 am Saturday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be given to Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury or to BroMenn Hospice, Normal.
Mrs. Martin was born March 8, 1921 in Sibley, IL the daughter of Henry H. and Sophia Norman Frederking. She married Clarence Virgil Martin on March 17, 1937 in Fairbury, IL. He died on August 31, 2008.
Surviving are two daughters, Joan (Orley) Plenert, Forrest; Maxine Stoller, Ft. Myers, FL; one son, Duane Martin, Krum, TX; ten grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ivan Stoller, two brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chatsworth and loved to play bingo and cards.
