Marilyn Kay Stevens, 65, Fairbury passed away at 3:35pm Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her residence, Fairbury.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, Fairbury with the Rev. Spencer Homan officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:30 to 10:15am Thursday at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, Fairbury.

Mrs. Stevens was born June 12, 1946 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Clyde R. and Margot Jean Milne Hoffman. She married Roderick G. Stevens on August 19, 1972. He survives in Fairbury.

Also surviving are one son, Todd (Jodi) Stevens, Holly Springs, NC; three grandchildren, Abigail, Addison and Austin Stevens; four sisters, Karen (Bob) Walter, Kathy (Thom) Ladeairous, both of Fairbury, Kris (Martin) Rund, Monticello and Kim (John) Clifford, Rantoul; one brother, Rick (Cheryl) Hoffman, Fairbury.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Stevens was a 1964 graduate of Fairbury–Cropsey High School. She was a lifelong secretary having worked at Honegger's, the Fairbury-Cropsey school district, Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury and currently the First Presbyterian Church, Fairbury. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Fairbury and the Presbyterian Women. She also served as secretary of the Fairbury Community Fund.

Kay was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will always be in our hearts and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
