Normal – Marilyn J. Wilson, 85, of Bloomington, formerly of Saybrook, died at 1:15am, Friday, July 13, 2012 at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax with Pastor Janeen Tronc officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Advocate BroMenn Hospice.
Marilyn was born October 11, 1926 in Cropsey Township the daughter of Clarence D and Bessie Floy Spawr Martensen. She married Donald H. Wilson on September 28, 1944, at United Brethren Church, Anchor. He died in 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Gary) Trembley and Shirley Wilson both of Bloomington; granddaughter, Kimberly (Phil) Peterson; and two great-granddaughters, Ashley and Megan Peterson all of Bloomington; and one sister, Joanne Marquis of Colfax.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Preceded her in death were her husband, parents, two grandchildren, and one sister, Phyllis Anderson.
She and her husband farmed in the Colfax, Anchor and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. She was a 1944 graduate of Anchor High School.
