Fairbury – Marion Frances Ziegenhorn, 89, of Fairbury, passed away at 1:04am, August 19, 2017, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Pontiac.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm, Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Pastor Dan Robertson will be officiating.

Friends may greet the family from 2-3:00pm on Wednesday at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury or Dominy Memorial Library, Fairbury.

Marion was born July 9, 1928, in Fairbury the daughter of Wilbert and Mardelle Thompson Hildreth.

She married Robert L. Ziegenhorn on June 20, 1956 in Nashua, IA. He passed away on October 23, 1992.

Surviving are her children, Linda (David) Marti of Forrest and Robert A. Ziegenhorn of Fairbury; grandchildren, Eric (Kim) Friedman and Beth (Chris) Mygatt; step-grandchildren, Kyle (Haley) Marti, Jordan (Kaylan) Marti and Cody Marti; great-grandchildren, Brennan Friedman, Colin Mygatt, Keenan Friedman, Brock Mygatt; and brother, John (Karen) Hildreth of Fairbury.

Mrs. Ziegenhorn worked for National Bank of Fairbury and she was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury and the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren and was an avid Cardinals fan.

Marion's strawberry pie and slush will be missed at ALL family gatherings.
