Marjie E. Barnes, 73, Fairbury, died at 5:30 am Friday, September 7, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12:45 pm Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Her funeral will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Brian King officiating.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.  The family suggests memorials be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Marjie was born March 18, 1945 in Fairfield, IL the daughter of Ira and Ruth Dye Taylor.  She married Raymond Wesley Davis Jr.  She then married Gene Barnes and they were married 38 years.  He survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include her children, John W. (Janie) Davis, Rinhard, IL, James E. (Michelle) Davis, Fairbury, Jacqueline M. (Matt) Gillock, Auburn, Jerry R. (Kristin) Davis, Bankston, AL, Jarred B. (Alicia) Barnes, Keller, TX, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two brothers and a stillborn son.

Marjie worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Willie Anderson Trucking, Lexington, JB Lee Trucking, Pontiac and most recently K&S Ford, Fairbury.

Marjie was a loving mother and wife who had no enemies.
