Marjory was a 1936 graduate of Pontiac Twp. High School and became a Registered Beauty Culturist. She was a partner with Ellen (Shane) Schultz in owning-operating Curly Top Beauty Shop in downtown Pontiac until their children were born.

Marjory was a "farm kid" all her life, while a youngster on the Owego Twp. homestead and while rearing her family in Pike Twp.  Along with her sister-in-law, Loralee (Hinds) Wahls; they participated in daily farm operations on the family farms their husbands founded together.

Marge enjoyed a blessed life with her family and extended family of many relatives and close friends. Marge and Ervin enjoyed being long-time members of the Cosmo Club, a local dance club in the Pontiac area.

She was a member of the Livingston County Farm Bureau and was active in Pike Twp. Home Bureau where she served a term as president.  She was very active in her church, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chenoa as a Sunday school teacher and in Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Marjory cultivated a positive attitude in all things, always patient, loving and kind, (with an exception for the Cub's when they were losing).
