Mark S. Gray "Graydog", 71, of Fairbury, died at 6:55 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Accolade Healthcare in Pontiac.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, is in charge of arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date

Mark was born November 16, 1951 in Fairbury, IL the son of Marvin and Mary Margie Henderson Gray. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Roger, James, and Larry, and two sons, Peter and Thomas.

Mark is survived by two brothers: Gary (Kay) Gray of Fairbury and Mike (Leila) Gray of Michigan, his sons: Zach (Jacqueline) Gray, Levi Gray, and Adam (Alicia) Gray. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Knox Gray and Mahala Gray, and the mother of his children, Connie Gray.

Mark was raised in Cropsey and graduated from Fairbury-Cropsey High School in the class of 1970. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and a member of the Baptist Church. Mark loved blues music and cherished his time playing softball for Rathbun's Tap. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and had a great sense of humor. Mark will be dearly missed by many.
