Mark was born March 9, 1970 in Des Plaines, IL; the son of Albert and Dorothy (Pawlak) Heil. His father preceded him in death along with his beloved fur babies Kenny, Madeline, Lucas, and Armani.

Survivors include his mother Dorothy M. Heil of Pontiac; his companion in life, Lori Steidinger, of Pontiac; her children, Victoria (Wade) Webb, of Ohio; Vincent (Abby)Hobart of Pontiac; Vaughn (Emily) Hobart of Cornell; grandchildren, Justin, Tripp, Tilly, Vivian, and Cooper. He was their beloved "Nacho Grampa"; rescue dogs; Doc Hudson and Stewart, cats; Lily and Lola aka "Fatty Kat".

Mark in his early years studied voice lessons and piano. He sang lead vocal in various Heavy Metal bands in the Chicago area. He was known for whistling melodies to the neighboring cows and wildlife. His love for God, music and technology lead him to serving at Pontiac Bible Church. His enthusiastic skill set of problem solving, sharp, creative mind and gift for gab was used when he joined Lemans Corporation-Drag Specialties in 2003 as a Territory Sales Rep leaving behind 40 accounts. He had a professional and personal relationship with his fellow team and motorcycle shop personnel, to them he was known as "Mark Heil Drag Rep 270". He took pride in his work ethic, his career and all he had to offer the company. He was a friend and brother to all. Mark took interest and supported Raccoon Ridge Rehab in rural Chenoa where he was instrumental in getting the nonprofit up and running. He served as Board President several years. He did his best to educate others on the value of wildlife and the ecosystem.

Mark will be most remembered for his faith, love for his family, views on politics, the environment, and our rights of the Second Amendment. His interests were far and wide, from Iron Maiden to For King & Country; mountain biking, hiking, Ice Hockey and the Green Bay Packers.

He had a quirky sense of humor, sarcastic and funny, making gatherings fun for all. He hosted a monthly WWE Wrestling night with friends whom he called family. Loving and caring for others his genuine tender heart will be remembered and greatly missed. Fly high my love!
