Marvin W. Roth, 82, of Fairbury passed away at 8:55 am, Monday, September 11, 2017 at Heritage Health, El Paso.

A graveside service will be 11 am, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Gridley Cemetery with Pastor Ann Champion officiating.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Dominy Memorial Library, Fairbury.

Marvin was born December 16, 1934 in Forrest, the son of Daniel and Carrie (Rieger) Roth.  He was a graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School in 1952. He married Dorothy Cooper on July 3, 1954 in Fairbury.  His wife, Dorothy survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include his children, Terry (Sandy) Roth of Bremen, IN; David (Lisa) Roth of Metamora; Susan Cottrell of Bloomington; Scott Roth of Fairbury; son in-law, Duane Aberle of Fairbury; one brother, Leonard Roth of Forrest; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
