Obituary
Marvin Arthur Seifert, 86, Cropsey, IL died at 1:55 pm Friday, October 24, 2014 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Cropsey United Methodist Church with Pastor Gifty Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cropsey Twp. Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00pm Monday, October 27, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45am Tuesday at the church. The family suggest memorials be given to the Baby Fold; Cropsey United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
Mr. Seifert was born August 21, 1928 in Cropsey, IL the son of Arthur A. and Clara C. Brucker Seifert. He married Donna Lou Metz on February 18, 1962 in Cropsey, IL. She died on October 18, 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Seifert, Rantoul, IL, Dale Seifert, Cropsey, IL and one sister, Erma Jean Hamilton, Fairbury, IL.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Elinore Kaisner.
Mr. Seifert was educated in Cropsey schools having graduated in 1946. He was a lifelong farmer, a member of the Cropsey United Methodist Church, McLean County Farm Bureau and the Never Too Old Club of Colfax.
