Mary L. Carter, 79 of Pontiac formerly of Chenoa died at 4:23 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Her memorial service will be at 11 am, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Grace Episcopal Church, Pontiac with the Rev. Carolyn Bavaro officiating. Inurnment will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa has charge of arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Mary was born February 17, 1930 in Gridley the daughter of William and Lusetta Hollis Liming. She married Glen H. Carter in Pontiac, July 7, 1949. He passed away July 16, 1988. Her parents also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters; Joyce (Thomas) Armour, Saunemin, Connie (Eddie) Puente, Pearland, TX, one son; Michael (Diane) Carter, Bloomington, three sisters; Connie Holzhauer, Pontiac, Patricia Sinnett, Strawn, Joan Hodge, Fairbury, four brothers; Robert Liming, Gridley, Gerald Liming, Pontiac, Larry Liming, Pontiac, James Liming, Chenoa and four grandchildren; Nicole Parish, Kayce Carter, Kelly Carter and Michael Becerra.
