Mary Leann Babington Henry, 53, passed on July 8th, 2026 at Carle Bromen Regional Medical Center, Normal. She was a beloved mother, coworker, and cherished friend. Mary was born February 3, 1973 in Pontiac, IL to Linda Dunahee and William Babington. She is survived by her beloved daughters Gracelyn Azbill and Gabrelle English. She is survived by sisters Candy Pyne, Brenda Alexander, and twin sister Margaret Wilson. She has many nieces and nephews as well as close family friends including Michelle Miller and Angie Buster. She is proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A special thank you to Jimmy English whose kind self has helped Mary over the years and until her last days.

Mary worked at Maple Lawn retirement community, Eureka Headstart and finally Eureka High School District 140 with the kitchen staff.

She collected so many incredible friendships in her life journey. Mary’s greatest gift was that she never knew a stranger. Everyone was a friend and if any of those friends were in need, she was there to help. This includes many of Eureka High School students and staff members. She always made sure no student left the cafeteria hungry.

Services will be held at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Chenoa, IL on July 15, 2026 from 10am-12pm. A lunch will be provided for any friend after the services at Grace Church of the Nazarene.

At Mary’s request please dress informal. Any Eureka High School students or staff members please wear your school colors.
