Forrest – Mary Lou Hinds, 78, of Forrest, passed away at 7:42 am, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.

Funeral Services will be 2:30 pm, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will follow in Forrest Township Cemetery, Forrest.

A visitation will be 1 to 2:30 pm, prior to her funeral service on Thursday, also at the funeral home in Fairbury. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Forrest Fire Department or St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Forrest.

Mary Lou was born September 9, 1940 in Forrest the daughter of Edward and Mildred Ann (Barnard) Garrels. She married Harold Hinds on September 28, 1958 in Forrest.  He passed away on April 20, 1996. Her parents, 3 brothers, two sons, Kenny and Richard Hinds and one granddaughter, Nicole Tatum also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra (Jorge) Hernandez-Klaman of Phoenix, AZ; Candy (Keith) Slagel of Fairbury and; one sister, Darlene Leslie of Forrest; special friend, Steve Edwards of Forrest; 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
