Obituary
Mary A. Lawrence 84, of Peoria Heights formerly of Chenoa passed away at 9:51 pm, Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Jane Roeschley officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, January 20, 2011 also at the memorial home in Chenoa.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa or Gridley Fire and Rescue Dept., Gridley.
Mary was born October 30, 1926 in Chenoa the daughter of William and Dorothy (Kritser) Scott Sr. She married Orville Lawrence in 1947 in Peoria. He passed away in 1995.
Survivors include two children, Richard (Barb) Lawrence, Normal; Jeanne (Robert) Nauman, Westerville, OH; two sisters, Lois (Nelson) Zimmerman,York, PA; Lu Westermeyer, Pontiac, IL; two brothers, William (Sonja) Scott Jr., Fairbury, IL; Tom (Jean) Scott, Normal, IL; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
