Obituary
Mary Ann Lorch, 87, Fairbury died at 8:45am Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury with the Rev. Tom Krieger officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the Dominy Memorial Library Building Fund.
Mrs. Lorch was born October 4, 1922 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Jonathan and Gertrude Stortz Munz. She married John G. Lorch on June 5, 1953 in Fairbury, IL. He survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving are two daughters, Betty Schwartz, Kankakee, IL, Diane Toombs, Pontiac, IL, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one sister, Viola Goembel, Fairbury, IL.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Lorch was a 1940 graduate of Fairbury Twp. High School and had worked as a teller and bookkeeper at the First National Bank of Fairbury. She was affiliated with the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury and had been a foster parent for many years.
