It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Moore, 82, Chenoa, who died Sunday, November 3, 2024 at The Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.
Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa with Fr. Bill Keebler officiating. Burial will be at Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 am St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Parish, Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Yates Township Park District, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Mary Ann was born August 31, 1942 in Streator, IL the daughter of Harold and Eureta Ruddy. She married Marvin Moore October 23, 1965. He survives her.
Other survivors include her children, Michael Moore, Chenoa; Joseph (Katie) Moore, Chenoa, four grandchildren, Connor (Michael), Bryan (Michael), Benjamin (Joseph), and Harper (Joseph). Brothers Bill (Pat), Sapula, Oklahoma; Jim (Donna), Gibson City; sisters Carol Kaisner (Allan) Forrest; Agnes, Pontiac.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Sr. Margaret Ruddy.
Mary Ann worked at the Pontiac Prison before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She was an avid walker who enjoyed the company of many neighbors during those walks. She and Marvin enjoyed dancing and all the wonderful people they met during that time. Her favorite pastime was sitting in their garage reading a book and visiting with friends, neighbors, and family. She was a wonderful cook that enjoyed hosting holiday events. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chenoa. Mary Ann's love of Marvin was only matched by the love she had for her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
