Mary Rose Wilson, 89 of Chenoa died at 6:37 am, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Good Samaritan Home, Flanagan.
Her funeral will be 2:30 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa; with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30pm, Thursday prior to her service also at the funeral home in Chenoa.
Mary was born May 3, 1926 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Marie (Podunski) Janacek. She married Irwin Wilson on March 7, 1953 in Chicago. Her husband survives in Chenoa.
Other survivors include her children, Donald Wilson of Pontiac; Bonnie (Kenneth) Brown of Heyworth; Anne Sporrer of Pontiac; one sister, Jenny McCarthy of Orland Park; five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and one son in law, John Sporrer.
Mary was a member of the Chenoa Baptist Church. She was co-owner-operator of Wilson Antique and Furniture in Chenoa for many years. Mary enjoyed reading western books and was an avid dirt track, late-model racing fan. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
