Megan Katherine Propes, 26, of Piper City formerly of Chatsworth passed away at 6:09 am, Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana with her family and friends by her side after a battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma since March of 2008.

Her funeral service will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Chatsworth with Father B.K. Tran officiating. Interment will follow in Germanville Cemetery, rural Chatsworth.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Monday, July 20, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with a Rosary to be held at 3:45 pm prior to visitation.

Megan was born November 22, 1982 in Urbana, the daughter of Leland and Nancee (Nickrent) Livingston. She married Kreg Propes on October 25, 2008 in Chatsworth. He survives in Piper City.

Other survivors include; her parents; Leland and Nancee Livingston, Chatsworth, one sister; Amanda (Ryan) Sullivan, Arnold, MO, Mother In-law; Darla (Gery Brown) Propes, both of Piper City, two brother in-laws; Kevin (Diane) Propes, Corwith, IA, Karl (JoAnn) Propes, Piper City, paternal grandfather; William "Bill" Livingston, Chatsworth, maternal grandmother; Lena Nickrent, Forrest, maternal great grandmother, Stella Nickrent, Gibson City, special family friends; Jennifer, Kyle and Kaylyn Dincler, Steve and Carol Kurtenbach and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, paternal grandmother and father in-law; Rondal Propes.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the Leukemia - Lymphoma Society.

Megan was a 2001 graduate of Prairie Central High School and 2005 graduate of Parkland College, Champaign. She was employed as a Dental Hygienist in Bourbonnais and for Dr. Henry Handler, Fairbury. Megan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially little children and her dog "Gracey". She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her always giving spirit.
