Michael Brent Carey, age 24, of Hinckley, IL passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on August 24, 1984 in Aurora, IL the son of Lewis D. and Kristi (Brown) Carey.

Mike enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, Matt Kenseth was his favorite driver. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboy Football Team and also loved collecting giraffe memorabilia. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and cousin who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Mike is survived by his mother, Kristi (Steve) Sloan of Plano, IL , his father, Lewis (Karen) Carey of Rochelle, IL; his siblings, Tim (Chris) Carey of Shabbona, IL Rodney Sloan of Plano, IL, Jeremy (Amy) Sloan of Plano, IL, Aaron (Vicki) Saltz, of Lee, IL, and Rachel Saltz of Stewart, IL; his grandparents, William (Frances) Brown of Fairbury, IL, Barbara Sloan of Plano, IL, Ruth Ginger of North Aurora, IL, and Warren ( Kathleen) Holmes of Ashton, IL; and his nephew Gavin Carey.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Claude Carey, Frank Sloan and Audrey Ginger.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South St. in Plano, IL, with Reverend David Bateman, officiating.

Friends may visit from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
