Fairbury: Michael L. Hildensperger, 57 of Fairbury died at 8:51 pm, Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded with Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury in charge of arrangements.

Michael was born September 22, 1951 in Wausau, WI the son of John W. and Virginia (Flor) Hildensperger.

Survivors include one daughter; Kathryn Hildensperger, Fairbury, two sons; Bryan Hildensperger, Galesburg and James Hildensperger, Eagle Rock, CA, one grandson; Ethan Joseph Hildensperger, Fairbury and three sisters, Nancy (Jay) Stneesel of Catheral City, CA, Patty (Ken) Hill of Kansas City, MO, and Ruth (Merle) Bolton of Palm Springs, CA.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Michael L. Hildensperger.

Michael moved around from state to state several times during his life, but he always came back to Fairbury. He was a member of the VFW Post #9786 in Fairbury. He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1977 and saw action overseas. In his later years Mike loved to spend time with his only grandson Ethan.
