Michael Len Huling, 61, Fairbury, died at 1:04pm Sunday, January 18, 2015 at his residence surrounded by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the 1st Baptist Church, Fairbury with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Full military rites will be accorded at the conclusion of the service. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00pm Thursday also at the church. Memorials may be given to the 1st Baptist Church, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Michael was born March 8, 1953 in Pontiac, IL the son of Howard F. and Ellen Jane White. He married Phyllis A. Lawrence on September 3, 1983 in Fairbury, IL. She survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include one daughter, Jessica (Nathan) Mercier, Champaign, IL, one son Kiel (Rachel) Huling, Colorado Springs, CO, two sisters, Sharon (Scott) Arnold, Pontiac, IL, Terry (Neil) Kepner, DeKalb, IL, three brothers, James (Gloria) Huling, Chenoa, IL, Charles (Gail) Huling, Fairbury, IL, Steven Huling, Pontiac, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Christopher.
Michael was a 1971 graduate of Chenoa High School. He served in the US Army from October 29, 1975 until October 25, 1979 and had been employed as a machine operator at Interlake Inc, Pontiac. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, Fairbury.
