Obituary
Saybrook – Michael V. Rapp, 52, of Saybrook passed away at 8:20am Monday, April 26, 2010 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Gibson City.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 3, 2010 at First Church of The Nazarene, Bloomington with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Scott Sherwood will be officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00PM, Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Michael was born October 20, 1957 in Bloomington the son of Vernon and Florence Coultas Rapp.
Surviving are his sister, Debra (Stephen) Gehrt of Evans, CO; brother, Steven (Sally) Rapp of Westbrook, ME; niece, Jennifer (Eric) Lojuk; nephew, Terry (Fiance Crystal) Gehrt; great nephews, Corbin Lojuk, Terry, Jr and Tristan Gehrt.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He was a member of First Church of The Nazarene, Bloomington.
He loved to be outdoors, fishing, playing card games and Yahtzee.
Most of all Michael enjoyed other people's trash and making them into treasures for people who needed them.
Memorials may be made to First Church of The Nazarene or American Cancer Society.
