Micheal Lynn Sharp, 56 of Manitowoc, WI; formerly of Chenoa passed away peacefully at 11 am, Wednesday,  January 10, 2018 at his residence in Manitowoc, WI.

Mike was born May 31, 1961 in Florence, AL; the son of Jack Sharp and Mary (Staggs) Reiter. His parents and one son, Kyle Sharp preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Micheal J. Sharp of Peoria; Corey (Taylor) Sharp of Champaign; one daughter, Erin K. Sharp of Chillicothe; one brother, Rick Sharp of Peoria; one sister, Phyllis (Richard) Brecklin of Dunlap; one half-sister, Amanda Sharp of Peoria; his companion, Shari Rahlf of Manitowoc, WI; step mother, Patricia Sharp of Peoria; ex-wife Dawn (Golliday) Sharp of Bloomington; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Though he spent most of his life in Illinois, Mike never relinquished his Alabama roots. This led him to a lifelong love of fishing, hard work, time with his children & family and a passion for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. He also spent time with his friends and family watching Cardinals baseball and NASCAR races.

In his professional life, he made a successful career for himself in automobile sales where he made countless friends over the years. Mike was an aficionado of the music of his generation and often said that Glenn Frey followed him around and wrote songs about his life. His quick wit and strong sense of humor made any moment ripe for a joke.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa; Inurnment services will follow in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa.

Visitation and time of sharing with the family will begin at 11am followed by the memorial service at 12 noon, also at the funeral home in Chenoa.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Micheal L. Sharp.
