Obituary
Pontiac--Michelle "Mickiy-Mi Mi" Marie Lopez passed away March 30, 2009, at 11:00 p.m., at the Livingston Manor Nursing Home in Pontiac, IL., from colon cancer she fought a long hard battle for eight years.
She was born January 12, 1966, in Chicago, IL., a daughter of Angelo Lopez and Marcia Graham. They preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Lopez, Pontiac, IL., Lisa Lopez Chatsworth IL., and James Partin Pontiac, IL., three brothers; Anthony (Lisa) Lopez Lakewood, IL., Jo Cunningham Shelbyville, IL., Chris Yates Melvin, IL., one sister; Lynn (Brandi) Yates Alabama, and a special friend for twenty years Marie McBride, Chatsworth, IL., and a sister-in-law Cora Lopez, Elk Grove Village, IL., who stood by her in the last months of her life. And a special niece Amanda Lopez.
She enjoyed life to the fullest and her children were the light of her life. She had many friends that will miss her dearly.
Mickiy's wishes were to be cremated. And a service will be held at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury has charge of arrangements.
A Special thanks to her caregivers at Livingston Manor Nursing Home, they treated her with kindness and care as if she was their family.
