Mildred Louise Brucker, 86 of Fairbury, died at 2:05 am Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral mass will be 10 am, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairbury; with Father Scott Archer officiating. Burial will follow in Cropsey Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 pm, Friday, March 6, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, with rosary recited at 3:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairbury.
Mildred was born September 22, 1928, in Fairbury, a daughter to Elmer and Louise (Zehr) Wenger. She married Lyle M. Brucker on February 18, 1950, in Strawn. He passed away April 18, 2002.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa (Joseph) Collins of Pontiac; three grandchildren, Jessica Willis of Chicago; Zachary (Andrea Bippus) Collins of Bloomington; Hannah Collins of Pontiac; three great grandchildren, Tyson and Marley Collins and Daxell Collins; 1 brother in-law, Bernard (Diane) Brucker of Colfax; and one sister in-law, Virginia Taylor of Kinkade, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Lynda Willis.
Mildred was a 1946 graduate of Fairbury Twp. High School. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. John's Catholic Church, Fairbury. She loved being surrounded by her family especially her grandchildren who will miss her deeply.
