Mose R. Mowery Jr., 84, of Meadows, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 3:37 pm .

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 14, 2023 at the River of Life Church, Meadows, with Pastor Rob Hany officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.

The family suggests that memorial offerings be given to the American Cancer Society.

Mose was born September 20, 1938 in Fairbury, IL; the son of Moses and Lillian (Hazel) Mowery. He married Vicki Campbell on September 2, 1976 in Chenoa, IL . She survives in Meadows.

Other survivors include his children, Chris Chandler, Roanoke, TX; and Blake (Connie) Mowery, Chenoa. Also surviving are his step-children, Ward (Dee) Hall, Anderson, AK; Chris (Al) Morgan, Chenoa; and Amy (Doug Crossman) Hall, Springfield, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary Mowery, and son, Scott Mowery.
