Myrtle Irene Roth, 97, Pontiac, formerly of Fairbury died at 2:50am Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac.
Services will be at 3:00 pm Friday, July 22, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Steven Livengood officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Friday also at the memorial home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Irene was born August 5, 1913 in Romeo, Michigan to Bessie Bollier and Daniel Yoder. Irene married Ralph Roth on November 26, 1938. He preceded her in death. Also preceding in death were one daughter, Sandra Koerner; one grandson, Jeffrey Raney; two sisters, Vera Schuler and Dorothy Kyle.
Irene is survived by one daughter, Linda Raney and son-in-law Bill, Mabelvale, AR, a son-in-law, Bruce Koerner, Pontiac, IL, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one sister, Florence Schmidt, Forrest, IL.
Irene was a member of the Fairbury First United Methodist Church; United Methodist Women, Red Hat Society; and Rebekah Lodge. She worked for Dr. Langstaff and later for K & S Motors.
The family suggest memorials be made to Evenglow Lodge or a charity of the donor's choice.
